JOB TITLE:  Public Relations Specialist

REPORTS TO (Title): Director, PR

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for supporting the media relations and product public relations for Nexon America.  This includes overseeing external media events and activities as well as the internal press website.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft and review press materials necessary for product promotion, including press releases, content update announcements, pitch letters, Q&As, spokesperson talking points
Interface with media in order to gather intelligence, pitch stories and build relationships with Nexon spokespersons
Help support and staff industry trade shows, media tours and other events for product publicity and relationship building
Work with product teams and other cross-functional company groups to develop and implement PR plans
Support and maintain internal media website

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

 

Work Experience

• 3 – 5 years PR/media relations experience

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, PR or English

Knowledge/Skills

• Familiarity with gaming
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong project management skills and able manage complex projects
• Strong problem solver
• Able to interact effectively with people at all levels of the Company
